Founding Attorney
Frank R. Pabst is the founding attorney of The Pabst Law Firm, where he leads the firm’s legal strategy, estate planning design, and personal injury representation. His practice is built around a simple but deeply held belief: clients deserve more than documents, claims, and transactions. They deserve counsel, clarity, and protection that works in real life.
Frank’s path to estate planning began before law school. He worked in finance and studied to become a Certified Financial Planner, believing he would help people build wealth and legacy. Although he ultimately chose law school, that financial foundation never left him. Today, it shapes the way he approaches estate planning. Frank does not look at a plan as a stack of legal documents. He looks at assets, ownership, beneficiary designations, family dynamics, business interests, and the practical question that matters most: will this plan actually work when it is needed?
That question became personal for Frank after his mother passed away without an estate plan in place. Even as a lawyer who understood the importance of planning, he experienced firsthand the pain, uncertainty, and avoidable confusion that can follow when a family is left without clear instructions. That experience changed the way he viewed estate planning. It was no longer just legal work. It became legacy work.
Frank believes estate planning is about dignity, stewardship, and protecting the people who will one day have to navigate life without you. His goal is not simply to prepare documents that satisfy legal requirements. His goal is to help clients understand their choices, align their assets with their wishes, and leave their families with clarity instead of confusion.
In his estate planning practice, Frank works with clients on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, guardianship planning for minor children, trust funding, asset alignment, and legacy planning. He rejects the cookie-cutter approach. Every family is different, and every plan should reflect the real people involved: their children, marriages, businesses, real estate, faith, values, concerns, and long-term goals.
Frank also represents injured clients in personal injury matters throughout Texas. His injury practice reflects the same philosophy that guides his planning work: personal attention, clear communication, and strategic advocacy. He helps clients navigate medical treatment, insurance coverage, settlement negotiations, litigation decisions, and the practical realities of recovery after a serious accident.
As the firm’s founding attorney, Frank intentionally limits the firm’s caseload so clients receive real attention rather than an assembly-line experience. He works closely with his wife, Nicky Pabst, the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and Director of Client Services, to create a client experience that is organized, responsive, and personal.
Frank is also the attorney responsible for the content of the firm’s website and the legal strategy behind the firm’s work. But more importantly, he sees his role as a counselor. Whether a client is planning for the future or recovering from an injury, Frank wants that client to feel informed, protected, and never treated like a file number.
At the heart of Frank’s work is a simple conviction: the best legal work is not the work that looks impressive on paper. It is the work that protects people when life becomes difficult.
